European Researchers’ Night

CERN is running for the 7th year the European Researchers' Night and proposes to discover science from a different angle. This event opens hundreds of science sites across Europe to the general public.

This year, the event is taking place on Friday 30 September 2016.

Programme will include:

  • First floor of the Globe of Science and Innovation (entrance in front of the Globe), screening of awarded scientific documentaries in original version with French subtitles. See the programme of the Globe.
  • Guided tours of ATLAS Visitor Centre (every 20 minutes from the entrance of Univers de Particules exhibition)
  • Exceptional night opening of Univers de Particules exhibition (entrance behind the Globe). A guide will be there to answer your questions.

Food trucks will be available to please your taste buds and quench your thirst.

In addition to this, several partner sites of the European Researchers Night will visit virtually iconic CERN sites: ALICE experiment, CMS experiment, LHCb experiment, CERN Data Centre and Control Centre according to a pre-defined schedule.
